For decades I had Dr. Sato as my primary dentist. He SEEMED to be trustworthy. When I moved to the mainland a year ago, I found out that Dr. Sato did not inform me that 3 teeth that had root canal treatments by endodontic dentists he referred me to were incompletely done and showed signs of infection. Under Dr. Sato's care, I had 4 root canals on one tooth by doctors he referred me to. One doctor even cut off the bottom of the root to make his job easier; however that made my tooth loose so eventually I needed to have a dental implant. The 3 teeth that posed a more recent dental problems could easily be seen in the x-ray taken by my current dentist Dr. Brian. I asked Dr. Sato why he did not inform me of the shoddy work his colleagues did to my teeth. He did not answer. He is definitely not a primary care dentist you can trust. His colleagues are more important to him than you, his patient. What is worse is that all the monies it take to resolve the shoddy dental work comes from your pocket, not his.
He remains a friendly dentist as long as you are paying for his bills and food on his table. He doesn't care for you. Don't be fooled.

Not really, I've never seen them go above and beyond
