In this instance I definitely got what I paid for. Dr. Alt is expensive at $400 an hour, but worth every penny. FYI: your initial visit will definitely take an hour, but subsequent maintenance visits have typically been shorter & cost less. Anyway, I struggled for over a decade with extremely disabling agoraphobia & panic disorder, but have made excellent strides since becoming his patient. He's the first psychiatrist I've been to that isn't a pill pusher. He's also the first one I've seen that if he doesn't know the answer to a question, or isn't familiar with a certain topic, he tells you honestly that he doesn't know, then either refers you to a specialist or researches it with colleagues & gets back to you. Final FYI: his office is in Brentwood near the Santa Monica border.

They would never do that! Their full attention is always on me.
Is this provider willing to pursue advice from other providers when necessary?
Absolutely! They aren't arrogant at all and are more than willing to pursue advice when necessary
