Dr. Mary Cutting is the worst doctor I've seen, period. I do not need a doctor to hold my hand and chit chat with me, but I do need a doctor who will answer my questions and explain abnormalities in lab results. Dr. Cutting not only did not answer my questions, but she made me feel stupid for asking. In addition, when I decided to not get the procedure she recommended after I received a second opinion from another physician that contradicted her recommendation, she sent me an abrupt letter threatening to not allow me to be a patient at the clinic unless I underwent her procedure. The office staff I spoke to at Physician and Midwife, Lake Ridge, supported this behavior, and defended her actions. To any woman attempting to find an OBGYN, please to not go to this doctor or this practice. As patients, we have a right to be treated with dignity and respect, understand our medical conditions, and make informed, educated decisions about our body without being threatened or coerced by the physician.

Staff was kind and they took me quickly. Dr. Cutting can be a little brusque, but I was only there for a basic exam. I don't need someone to hold my hand. Just get me in and out as fast as possible (and keep the exam room warm -- we're naked under those gowns!)

In the brief 10 minutes that Dr. Cutting spent with me, she was inconsiderate, impatience and indifferent. Her physical exam, although quick, was one of the most painful I've experienced due to her rough handling. She all but rolled her eyes at my concerns. A terrible experience.
