Dr. Stephen is the best. Yes, there are occasional times where I have waited a little longer than wanting, but oh.... when Dr. Orr appears he is always a good listener and has the best feedback. He has been my PCP for over 5 yrs. After we discuss my visit reason, he takes even more time to talk about various things.... Vacation, work, family etc... I love this man as my DOC. Please dont ever retire. And Nancy, Debby, Ed and Stacie are pretty great too!! ;)

I think Dr. Orr is over the top as far as a Primary Physician goes.I have been seeing him for care for about 8 years I think. I drive quite a ways (Athens to Winder) to go and see him for most appointment unless I need more immediate care,.then I just go to a Doc N the Box. I use Dr. Orr for all my physicals, blood work etc. and general health concerns.
Dr. Orr takes his time, sits and goes over numerous areas of your health situations with you and spends far more time with me than I expect of him. I always come away feeling he gave me ample time to discuss all of my concerns, He also is considerate of my wishes and allows me to decide what is best for me.
I know as I am getting older I probably need to have someone closer than 45 minutes away to go to, but so far I just can't make that switch. He will be very hard to replace. I dread the day I have to find another Doctor.
I find his staff very friendly and on top of things.
The office is a bit dated but neat, clean and sanitary and that is all that really matters. I don't care if there isn't a Mona Lisa original oil painting hanging beneath a chandelier in the waiting room.

Very rude and unprofessional office manager. Dr. Orr is great but will not return because of staff, mainly Office Manager!

I will absolutely return. I had a wonderful experience, family oriented and they were by far the best I've ever seen! They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. I've been places before where they were argumentative and angry, so I was a bit nervous that I might encounter that here as well. Instead, they were very calm and understanding the entire time. They really care about everyone who visits them. They are located in a safe neighborhood and visible to the Hospital. Whenever I make an appointment, I'm always confident that they're going to be ready for me at my scheduled time. At Commerce it always bothered me when they tell you they don't have time to see you, or if you're sick, it would be about 2 weeks before an appt. would be scheduled. The receptionist was always rude and commented why don't you go to the hospital if your that sick (this remark was usual even if you had blood pressure problems; they would not accomodate you)-- they've never done that here in Winder. Some like myself have gone to Urgent Care facilities in Banks County on a regular basis for no waiting and Quick care which was always pleasant. Barrow County is my home and always will be. I love living where we do, but have not found the trust or confidence in Primary Care in Jackson/Banks County.
