I had the most pleasurable experience at this office today! I was referred here and don't understand other reviews, but to each their own. I will return here. Thank you. I HATE dentists and have a great fear of them (yes I'm an adult). They treated me as an adult and didn't talk down to me for my dental problems. They were very kind, all the stafff.

Every time I go to this office there is new staff. That is a red flag about the dr. if you can't keep staff. The office manager aka the doctors wife is very rude and is never available to answer any questions. It is a shame because the Dr. is very good at what he does. Don't think I will be returning to this office.

I have been coming to Dental 88 for the past 3 years, and until today never had a problem with anyone. The dentists are very friendly and knowledgeable, and are not so scary. They talk to you and make sure you are comfortable, or carry their own conversations with eachother so you can focus on that, instead of dental instruments probing your mouth. The color of the walls and cartoon paintings also help if you are scared of the dentist. So, in all, A + for dental care and comfort!

HOWEVER, the STAFF is absolutely rude and unprofessional, especially the receptionist named KELLY who schedules for both 88 Dental offices in Pinebridge Commons and Castle Shannon.

Instead of being nice, patient, and understanding, she rudely hung up on me instead of scheduling my appointment as she heckled me to pay for a bill that I did not even know existed. (If I received the bill, I would have paid for it immediately! And not have called you to schedule and appointment, if I knew I had to pay a bill!). Since I was very shocked and surprised from this bill, I told her I did not receive it.

Instead of saying "Oh we'll send it to you again in the mail" she just said "Well you have a bill, WOULD YOU LIKE TO PAY NOW". I refused, and was quite upset and asked her where this bill came from, and if my insurance did not cover it, how come they DID NOT tell me when BEFORE I went to get services. Due to my raised voice, she hung up on me instead of resolving the issue or explaining. A very professional woman.

Additionally, I called back as I still needed an appointment, and the receptionist kept ignoring my phone calls, no matter what phone I used. Again. How professional.

After an hour, my calls were finally answered. She simply answered
"Are you just here to argue with me again?". I told her she was being extremely unprofessional and it is HER JOB to deal with the public, no matter how upset they may be, it is NOT acceptable to hang up on a CLIENT who provides BUSINESS for you and pays YOUR SALARY. She did not say a word, knowing she was wrong. But continued talking in circled claiming "You were screaming on the phone, you raised your voice, you xxxx"....

I then asked for her managers name, which she said "Kathy". When I asked for a last name, she said "Its just Kathy there is only one" and I had to repeatedly ask her the last name, until she finally gave it to me reluctantly.

I have never met such a rude and miserable sounding woman on the phone as her, she should be ashamed with how she treats clients and makes 88 Dental look bad. I am unsure if I still want to come here again, for how she treated me over the phone with her negative unpleasant attitude. I will make sure I speak to the owners of the business about this, as she clearly was not doing her job properly and created drama instead of resolving problems.

Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there. My first time there and waited over a half an hour they did not even apologize. It takes about a month for an appointment and if you have cavities they only do one quadrant at a time so it will take months to get them filled even if they are small. I asked the receptionist why and she said because the dentist just does not have that much time for a patient. They didn't help me as much as I was hoping and didn't answer all my questions. The place was also runned down. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed.
