As a Registered Nurse I found Dr. Whiteman friendly enough but when you are going to the doctor you not only want one with a great bed side manner but one who seems to know what they are doing as well. My husband was actually the patient and was trying to get his medical clearance for immigration. Since he is unable to drive here at the moment he relies on me to take him to and from his appointments and even though the office is supposed to be open until 5 the latest appointments we were ever offered was 2pm which is an inconvenience for someone who has a career. The office does not have an answering service or even a machine so you can leave a message in hopes of a call back. My husband was very skeptical having injections from this office due to the cleanliness or lack there of. When you go to the Tucker office you have to ring a bell to get help since they have posters posted all over the glass in the front lobby, you cannot see them and they cannot see you. I found this very unprofessional. I know all about patient confidentiality but a paper poster is not going to protect that in the least. The office was crowded and dirty and the restrooms were atrocious. The Decatur office is literally as big as maybe a normal doctors exam room, and thats the WHOLE office. I was horrified when we walked in. My husband was taken behind a one sided wall like seen in a cubicle and placed on and exam table which was part of the office area. Although Dr. Whiteman seemed knowledgeable and the staff were mostly courteous I would definitely not recommend this facility to anyone!!! She was recommended to us by our lawyer and we have told them of our experience and advised them not to use Dr. Whiteman for their immigration needs.
