Ingredients

  • ¼ cup tomatoketchup

  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar

  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar

  • 1 pinch red pepper flakes

  • 4 scallions, trimmed and thinly sliced

  • 2 pounds chicken wings

  • 1 teaspoon salt

  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

Directions

  • Heat a grill to medium-high.

  • Mix the first five ingredients in a small bowl and whisk to make Asian barbecue sauce. Add half of the scallions, and save the rest.

  • Use black pepper and salt to lightly season the wings.

  • Grill the wings, flipping them every couple of minutes. Cooking should take about 20 minutes.

  • As soon as the wings are done, put them in a large bowl with the Asian barbecue sauce and cover the wings. Transfer these wings to a serving plate and toss the remaining scallions over the wings.
