Ingredients

  • 2 four ounce skinless chicken breasts

  • 2 whole grain hamburger buns

  • ¼ cup bread crumbs

  • ¼ cup hot sauce

  • 1 tablespoon butter

  • 1 tablespoon vinegar

  • Lettuce and tomato for topping

Directions

  • Preheat the oven to 450 degrees.

  • Mix the salt, pepper, and bread crumbs together in a bowl. Put the chicken breasts between two sheets of plastic wrap and use a rolling pin to flatten them to an even thickness. Coat the chicken with the bread crumb mixture.

  • Put the chicken in a greased baking dish and lightly spray the top of the chicken with cooking spray. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked and no longer pink inside.

  • Add the hot sauce, butter, and vinegar to a plastic sandwich bag or airtight container and mix. Add the cooked chicken to the bag or container and shake so that it is coated. Toast the buns on a grill or hot pan.

  • Top the toasted buns with the chicken, lettuce, and tomatoes.
