Ingredients

  • 1 pound sweet potatoes, peeled and cut into 2-inch pieces

  • 2 medium carrots, thinly sliced

  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

  • Pinch of ground nutmeg

  • Freshly ground black pepper

Directions

  • In a medium saucepan, add the sweet potatoes, carrots, and one inch of water. Cover the saucepan and bring to a boil.
