A Denver native, Dr. Mullinix earned her medical degree from the University of Colorado Medical School and completed an Emergency Medicine Residency with Denver Health Medical Center. She began practicing in hospice and palliative medicine in 2010 and then became board certified in hospice and palliative medicine in 2012. As a provider, her clinical interests include health care ethics, palliative care in the emergency department, patient advocacy and providing excellent symptom management at the end of life.“My philosophy of care is to always maintain a patient centered focus, stay open minded, and remember that when a patient is hurting, their loved ones are also hurting. I am also committed to listening to and using the expertise of my fellow interdisciplinary team members.”When not spending time with her patients, Dr. Mullinix enjoys entertaining, cooking, playing the piano, camping, traveling and spending time with her husband and their two gigantic Bernese Mountain dogs.
