As a surgeon and an artist, she is committed to oncologic and aesthetic outcomes by utilizing oncoplastic and hidden scar techniques. Dr. Barmettler is trained in breast surgical oncology at Massachusetts General Hospital/Dana Farber Cancer Institute- Brigham. She is interested in health equity and advocacy, with an academic and research focus on breast cancer in LGBTQIA+ patients to improve their outcomes.
