Dr Gupta graduated from Government Medical College Bhavnagar in India. He completed his residency training at MFMRP and served as Chief Resident during his third year. He also has a Master's in Public Health (MPH—epidemiology) from the University of Alabama in Birmingham. He joined MFMRP as a faculty member in January 2012. His other accomplishments include the UAB Healthcare Leadership Academy and NIPDD fellowship. Dr Gupta also serves as Clerkship Director for Family Medicine at the UAB School of Medicine—Montgomery Campus.His special interests in family medicine are ambulatory medicine and hospital medicine.
