Matthew Finn

Dr. Finn is a vascular medicine and interventional cardiology specialist at Columbia University Irving Medical Center. His clinical practice includes coronary artery disease as well as peripheral arterial and venous disease.
Dr. Finn is from New Orleans, Louisiana. He completed medical school at Louisiana State University School of Medicine where he graduated as Alpha Omega Alpha. He subsequently trained at the Johns Hopkins Hospital where he achieved Frank Coulson award for clinical excellence in medicine and was named as chief medical resident (assistant chief of service). He obtained his fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at Columbia University Irving Medical Center, where he also served as chief cardiology fellow achieving the Cardiology Fellow of the Year award. He was also selected by the medical residents for their award for excellence in house-staff education. While completing his cardiology fellowship, Dr. Finn simultaneously achieved a Masters in Patient Oriented Research from the Columbia School of Biostatistics. After completing his general cardiology training, Dr. Finn completed fellowships in interventional cardiology and then vascular medicine/interventions at Columbia.
Dr. Finn performs catheter-based interventions in the coronary artery, pulmonary artery, peripheral arterial, and peripheral venous vascular beds. His research interests focus on investigating minimally invasive, catheter-based interventions, peripheral arterial disease and peripheral venous disease. Dr. Finn has also led significant research efforts in complex coronary artery disease and valvular heart disease. Dr. Finn is accepting new patients at Columbia University Irving Medical Center in Washington Heights and at Westchester locations.
