Children's Health Eosinophilic Disorders EOE Program
The Dallas Eosinophilic GI Diseases and Esophagitis Program (DEEP) at Children's Health, provides leading-edge, multidisciplinary care for children with eosinophilic esophagitis (EoE) and other eosinophilic gastrointestinal disorders (EGIDs).
A newly-defined condition, EoE is characterized by chronic inflammation of the esophagus that can make it difficult for your child to swallow foods. The condition can lead to narrowing – and even scarring – of the esophagus over time. If left untreated, it negatively impacts normal growth because of feeding issues.
EoE and other EGIDs are often seen in patients who have other allergic disorders, such as asthma, eczema and food allergies. Learn more.
