Why did you choose to specialize in Gastroenterology?

It’s one of the fields that is very challenging because we work with multiple organ systems. Here, we deal with esophageal pathology, gastro pathology, liver pathology, pancreatic pathology—it’s among the most all-encompassing subspecialties of internal medicine. There is a lot of variety in the day to day work. I love talking to my patients, listening to them, getting to know them and helping them live the best quality of life possible.

Do you have a specialty of interest within GI?

Areas of interest include GERD and colon cancer screening.

Where did you study?
