Dr. Sharma received his medical degree from Vinnitsa State Pirogov Memorial University in Vinnitsa, Ukraine. He completed his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science in Chicago, Illinois, and his Fellowship in Oncology and Hematology at Louisiana State University in Shreveport, Louisiana. Prior to joining Texas Oncology, Dr. Sharma was Assistant Professor, Department of Medicine, Division of Oncology and Hematology at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas, Texas, as well as Staff consultant in Oncology and Hematology at the Veterans Affairs Hospital in Dallas. Dr. Sharma has authored and co-authored numerous articles in peer reviewed journals and presented at national conferences.
