I believe that caring for the patient starts with the patient. I take a very patient-centric approach,assessing each person carefully to get to the correct diagnosis. I use psychopharmacology, psychodynamic therapy techniques, and cognitive behavioral therapy techniques in order to meet all of my patients' needs.

My experience was a good one. He is much more understanding and empathetic than my last psychiatrist. Most psychiatrist are pompous and talk down to you. He is definitely not like that! If you have any reservations about seeking help, Dr. Funk is very down to earth and easy to talk to. He has a long waitlist due to his popularity unfortunately...

Appallingly disconnected with the pain a patient is experiencing. Very focused on looking through his medication guide. Shows a complete lack of human compassion. Makes crass remarks that belittle you as a patient. Seems very aloof and is extremely condescending. On my second visit he did not even have decent good manners to turn his chair around and acknowledge my arrival. Keep his back to me and only said hello once I was in the chair beside him. He is a very pompous individual.
