We provide specialized medical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the medically complex and catastrophically ill patient. Many of our patients are referred from intensive care units of short-term acute hospitals that require some type of life support (i.e., mechanical ventilation). These patients are referred to us for our proven outcomes regarding weaning from mechanical ventilation.
Kindred Hospital White Rock is unique in that we are a hospital-in-hospital, conveniently located inside a 228-bed medical-surgical acute care hospital with three medical office buildings on its campus. Because of Kindred White Rock’s unique location, our patients have access to emergent and critical intensive care services as well as advanced diagnostic services without transfer to an off-site facility.

Kindred Hospital White Rock is a 25-bed, transitional care hospital providing specialized, long-term acute care to medically complex patients requiring continued care and extended recovery time. We are fully accredited by The Joint Commission, licensed by the State of Texas and certified for participation in the Medicare/Medicaid programs.We provide specialized medical services 24 hours a day, seven days a week to the medically complex and catastrophically ill patient. Kindred Hospital provides aggressive, specialized care to patients who need extended hospital stays. Our patients have serious medical conditions, often many at the same time, requiring a coordinated, specialized approach, directed by physicians, to meet their daily medical needs.
Our patients are medically complex and often need an array of medical services. We provide care through an interdisciplinary team of physicians, nurses, rehabilitation and respiratory therapists and other support staff. Kindred has experience and expertise in a wide variety of care including:
-pulmonary care (ventilator management and weaning)
-complex wound care
-rehabilitation (transitional or subacute care)
-dialysis
-IV antibiotic therapy
