Our interdisciplinary expertise in respiratory care, wound care, infectious disease, and rehabilitation is central to our success in caring for patients who need longer acute care hospitalizations. Located on the fifth floor of our host hospital, MedCentral Mansfield, Kindred Hospital is a Joint Commission accredited acute care hospital and is certified to operate by the State of Ohio. We participate in Medicare, Medicaid and many commercial insurance plans.
Types of patients who benefit from our hospital services include:
Pulmonary – including respiratory failure, pulmonary trauma, pneumothorax, pneumonia, COPD, Neuromuscular disorders, and pulmonary embolus
Medically complex – including infectious disease, multiple system failure, cancer and malnutrition
Wounds – including pressure ulcers, ischemic ulcers, post-surgical or traumatic wounds, diabetic or neuropathic ulcers, venous stasis ulcers and peripheral vascular disease
Rehabilitation – (secondary to medical complication) multiple trauma, CVA, central nervous system disorders, spinal cord injury, brain injury, general debilitation, and post-surgical debilitation

-IV antibiotic therapy
