After spending approximately six months gaining valuable experience doing relief chiropractic work, she decided to start her own private practice. Skaates Family Chiropractic was founded in 1997, just half mile south of downtown Worthington. In the fall of 2010 Dr. Skaates moved to Westerville to begin serving patients in her new Wellness Center which provides provides chiropractic care, active rehabilitation, therapy, yoga, wellness coaching, custom made orthotics, and corporate education.
Dr. Skaates constantly strives to improve and expand upon her knowledge in the field of chiropractic and wellness care. She has completed extensive post-graduate studies with emphasis on the Impulse and Activator adjusting methods .
A firm believer in the incredible power of the human body and the importance of the preservation of health and pain-free living, Dr. Skaates is very passionate and excited about providing safe, effective, healing results.
Working along side and following Dr. Skaates' "whole person approach" when taking care of patients is her Associate, Dr. Jack Martin. By combining the very best hands-on-technique, state of the art physiotherapy procedures, and providing the newest and best natural vitamins and mineral supplements on the market today, Dr. Martin is able to help you to accelerate and/or maintain your journey to good health.
He attended Grand Valley State University where he received his degree in Biomedical Sciences in 2003. In 2007 Dr. Martin graduated from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa and moved with his wife Laura to Columbus, Ohio.

Dr. Laura Skaates attended The Ohio State University, where in 1990, she received a degree in Exercise Physiology. In 1997, she graduated Magna Cum Laude from Life Chiropractic University in Atlanta, Georgia.
