About

Sunrise Gervais, LMT/NMT

Hi and welcome to Tree of Life Massage. My name is Sunrise Gervais. A little about myself - I have been married to my best friend Amy for 9 wonderful years. Actually she was my inspiration (and still is) my inspiration for persuing a career in massage therapy. I graduated from Red Mountain Institute of the Healing Arts in 2007 and was nationally certified and licensed soon after in early 2008. Since then, I have been actively working to change the world one person at a time. I am fulfilled by seeing the powerful effects of what therapeutic massage can do to alleviate strain and the resultant pain in those who are actively seeking to improve their overall health. Seeing people regain hope, gain flexibility, and leave with reduced pain makes my work and the service I have been blessed to offer a true reward of the spirit.

In early fall of 2011, I was given my massage instructor license by the state of AL and am presently on faculty at the Madison School of Massage Therapy teaching Massage Theory and Practice 2 - advanced massage training with a focus on treating orthopedic conditions.

Whether you are needing a wellness massage to just let go of accumulated stress and relax muscular tension or whether you are looking for orthopedic massage for a certain structural problem - SI Joint Dysfunction, Sacroilliitis Carpal Tunnel Syndrome, Thoracic Outlet, Spasmodic Torticollis, Frozen Shoulder, Arthritis, Tendonitis, Low Back Pain, Headache Pain, Golfers Elbow, Tennis Elbow etc. it is my intent to offer each and every client a quality massage that exceeds their expectations by customizing the session to the clients needs and monitoring their progress.

It is my hope that they will leave feeling physically relieved of pain and tension and emotionally uplifted after the session. I am a member of the Associated Bodywork and Massage Professionals and hold fast to their ethical standards and those too of the Alabama Board of Massage Therapy. If you have any concerns or questions that have not been addressed on the website, please feel free to contact me by phone or email. I am here to help!

Sunrise has in-depth training to take care of my varied ailments. After rotator cuff surgery and a six week rehab at a clinic tied with my surgeon, I was nowhere near where I had hoped to be.
Someone recommended Sunrise.
After a few visits with his regimen and some new exercises he gave me, I was miles ahead with a huge increase in range-of-motion and loss of chronic pain.
I highly recommend Sunrise and Amy!

I went to Sunrise at Tree Of Life Massage as a last effort to avoid surgery for Thoracic Outlet Syndrome symptoms. I had pain in my neck and arms along with numbness in my hands. Within a couple of deep tissue one hour sessions, my symptoms were so much better. The knowledge that Sunrise has is unbelievable. He takes so much time to explain WHY your having the symptoms and provides exercises for you to perform at home to further the treatment. I am forever thankful for my time spent here. I am so much better now! Thanks Sunrise.
