Ms. Dooley was selected to provide my ex-husband and I, Parent Facilitation. Our siutation is complicated and high conflict. We met with Ms. Dooley approximately 6 times. She is difficult to schedule with, I would send emails to her and the ex, she would reply back to only me. I would add my ex back to the email thread and she would reply back to only me. She took calls and/or texts in every session, which I found to be very unprofessional. She was a complete no show to one visit, obviously if we were both there, the miscommunication was hers. She offered no sound advice. She would say things like "You all really need to communicate with each other" or "This is really bad". Ya think?? She wanted to speak to my 16 and 17 year olds, which I found strange but figured it may help. She did not have strong opinions on much of anything. I was hopeful that she would bring some peace to our lives with some tools or techniques for divorced people sharing children. She did not, we could have gotten the same advice from anyone at Starbucks who wanted to hear a juicy story. At our last appointment, I asked for a standing appointment with her, since scheduling was so difficult. She said NO. I was told that she could no longer help us, that she helped people stay out of litigation. What??? Families need help even more during litigation, it made no sense. I found out later that she met with my children (20 with special needs and 7) on a Saturday when they were with their father. I was not notified. And I don't believe a 7 year old should be interviewed alone. I emailed her and asked why, since she told us she couldn't help. Ms. Dooley said she couldn't help us (the adults), but could still benefit the children. She was our PARENT Facilitator. No one I have spoken with has had experience with a PF speaking to the children in a case. She came to court (sat with the ex) and was not used because she had nothing of value to offer. She never even got called to take the stand. I was not afraid of her testimony, I have nothing to hide. No I didn't lose my case. No, I wasn't even the one that had to pay her fees. But I feel obligated to warn other families that if you're looking for HELP, look elsewhere. You won't find it here. She wasted a lot of my time and a lot of the ex-husband's money.

Dr Dooley recently conducted a social study for my child's custody case. She was highly recommended by some extremely reliable, and credible figures within the Dallas family court system. I found Dr. Dooley to be extremely thorough in her process of evaluating both parties, families, and all character witnesses. After reading a couple of the other reviews on here, I think it is important to note that I am a father. There was no denying that Dr Dooley's #1 priority was determining the best outcome for my child. She was very confident when giving her recommendation, which is a direct result of her many years of experience dealing with difficult situations, disgruntled parents, and her familiarity with the family court system. Making a social study recommendation is a very serious thing that will almost certainly have an immeasurable impact on that child's future. It is easy to understand why somebody would be upset if a recommendation doesn't play into that person's favor, and would lead them to write a negative review about Dr. Dooley on here. My experience with Dr. Dooley was very professional. She reported the facts, did not get caught up in the "mud slinging" between the two parties, and made her unbiased recommendation for my child based off the facts that she gathered from both parties. If you are faced with the task of determining a social worker for a case similar to mine, my heart goes out to you. However, rest assured that Dr Dooley will perform a very thorough, unbiased, and confident recommendation.
