I wouldn't let my dead dog be sent here. The staff doesn't inform you about your child at all while they are there. They don't return calls, they rarely call in the first place, my child waited 4 days for his clothing to be given to him even though I was assured everytime I asked that he would get it. I waa told after discharge that they threw it in the garbage and he never even saw it. His books i took were thrown in a locked closet and he never had access to them. My son sat in a locked ward with no activities for most of the day. They left the ward to eat and occasionally spend time outside. In between eating they stared at a tv. My child witnessed mistreatment and abuse by staff to patients, which I reported to CYS. I witnessed a staff member take food from a patients personal food and eat a piece. Together my son, myself and my husband are putting together a list to report this facility to the proper agencies. The only good thing this facility has going for it is Mr. Dominic. He cares for the children and for their families. I found most of the nursing staff that I was in contact with to be unprofessional. Please think twice if someone tells you to send your child here. My child will never get this week of his life back and it was hell for us too.
