About

The Kindness Animal Hospital

The Kindness Animal Hospital was established by Dr. Deane M. Chamberlain in the late 1960s, and was originally located in Alton. The hospital relocated to Pork Hill Road in Ossipee. In the winter of 1975-76 the hospital moved to its final location on Water Village Road. In 1981 the hospital was purchased by Dr. Richard M. Seibel III. We have since grown from a one doctor and two employee facility to the current four doctor and fifteen employee practice. Dr. Susan M. Haley joined the practice full time in 1995. In 2001 the hospital underwent a physical expansion and shortly thereafter a relief veterinarian, Dr. Suzanne M. DeStefano, was added two days a week. In 2008, we welcomed Dr. Tom Adams as a full time member of our staff, and in 2013 we welcomed Dr. Phil Deitsch to work part time with us.

"A total positive regard for all" sums up the mission statement of our hospital. This was a favorite quote of Dr. Deane Chamberlain. It means that we approach our patients and their people with the utmost respect and consideration of their needs.

Such a joke. Brought our 11 week puppy here for kennel cough and all they wanted to do was bill us for as many meds and scans as they could. Went to a second vet who said she was fine without any of that stuff and that can actually be a worse thing to give young pups antibiotics so young.

Kindness Animal also insisted we bring our puppy to a training school because she was very energetic at the appointment. Have they never seen a puppy before?! Of course they're a little nuts at 11 weeks old, it takes a little time for them to learn and grow out of that phase.

Not going here again, all they care about is your money, not your pets.
