I don't care for how this website feeds you phrases and then a draft for your review. So, in my own words, Dr. Volk is a good vet. He has an office in Medway, 60 miles north of his main facility, which he mans twice a week thus providing the only vet services in the Medway/Millinocket. Regardless of whether he is in Medway on Tuesdays and Thursdays or in Orono the rest of the week, he has made time in his schedule to deal with urgent care issues with our elderly cat. He was caring and profession when we had to put our other really old cat with kidney failure to sleep. He answers all the questions we have posed patiently and in a non-condescending manner. He has always taken sufficient time with both our pets and with us. He is a bit more expensive than the next nearest vet (in Chester, a half hour away) but when you figure in the gas cost of a round trip to Medway from Millinocket vs. the round trip to Chester, the cost difference is not that much.
