I'll probably never use this place again. Despite previous good results (and a lot of money), this last time was a disaster. I bought in a sick kitty with an injured eye and got two estimates - basically one to get her in shape for surgery, another to do it. Estimate one was $374 to clean up the wound and do some tests and bloodwork. when I came to pick up the cat, I was informed she would not be ready for surgery for some time and I was required to keep her in isolation. Since I'm remodeling, I asked to board the cat for a couple of days while I got a spot ready. The next morning I got an angry call demanding I pick up this cat.
I had paid the original treatment on the day 5/29/15 before boarding the cat, and was billed an additional $273 for one night boarding with an unexplained "balance due" for the bill I'd paid in full the previous day.
So far, I'm out $395.78 + $273.75 against an initial estimate of $374, for simply cleaning up a wound, getting some tests done, and an unanticipated (but probably fair) flea treatment. $669.53 seems more than a little outrageous to me for what amounts to an hour's care that was low-skill stuff. With an estimate of $570 for the actual surgery, assuming similar estimate/cost ratios (over two to one) - I simply will have to let this animal die - or find another vet with morals. Further, their internal communication seems quite flawed. After being told to wait two weeks (and having my cat literally refused boarding after one night so I could get ready to hold her indoors here - evidently another case of failure to communicate internally that it wasn't till surgery, but so I could prepare a suitable place to hold an "outdoor cat" indoors) - I got a call this morning that sounded like it was from a mafia knee-breaker to bring the cat back now for surgery, and to pick up some medication they'd already sent me home for. Boat payments due? Seems as though someone has gone utterly off the rails here, and I'm pretty sure it isn't me.

The visit started off fine, but when our cat began to get stressed they put on leather gloves and pushed on. We were scolded for trying to calm her ourselves and when the cat had enough and bit the vet she rudely informed us to confine the the cat for a 10 day rabies quarantine and we would be contacted by the county health department for compliance. For a vet to push an obviously extremely stressed animal through a non emergency procedure is unprofessional and uncompassionate. I will not be returning to this vet.
