We took a sick leopard gecko to this clinic as it was highly recommended for exotic pets. I don't think their staff is professional. While sitting in the waiting area, the receptionist snapped at these people and told them they were choking their dog(on leash). When in reality the dog was very excited and nervous as any pet that goes to the vet gets. The tech we had seemed very unsure of herself and I don't think she really knew what she was doing. She doubted the weight and told us the doctor could check for a parasite with special glasses which never happened because the doctor said he was too skinny. Also, we were not informed of the cost of treatment until after which cost over $100 including the visit. When we left the clinic and headed home, the gecko quit breathing. Took the gecko back and the doctor told us that indeed he had passed as well as telling my son and I that she could do an autopsy which she cut open the gecko and find out about the actual cause. I didn't think that this was appropriate telling a kid they cut open his pet after it had just passed away. Also the gecko still had his food in his throat when she checked. We will NEVER EVER take a pet to this clinic again. Their professionalism needs a lot of improvement.

BEWARE!! DO NOT TAKE YOUR RABBIT TO THESE PEOPLE!! Their current licence with the IDFPR was expired in 2004 and the primary vet there has a GENERAL license from IOWA due to expire in 2 years already. She claims to know about rabbits but doesn't even know the proper pre-op and post-op care instructions for them.

I lost my rabbit companion after bringing her to this place for a routine spay surgery. She didn't die on the operating table but died after since she was not prescribed ANY pain medication and I was told not to be concerned about her lack of appetite after surgery (never did they mention anything about possible risks from not eating). She died from something called GI stasis a couple days after the surgery.
