We are happy to announce that as of 2013, Animal Specialty & Emergency Hospital is now under new ownership. Not only do we have a new owner, we have new managers, Doctors, technicians and receptionists. Our hospital is also undergoing renovations as well. We welcome you to stop by for a tour and to meet our new staff and management anytime Monday-Friday 9am-5pm. We will also send you home with a special treat for your four legged friend just for stopping by! Another exciting change that our new owner has implemented is that we now offer emergency services 24 hours a day/7 days a week including all holidays. So never fear for your pet's safety, we will always be here for you and your fuzzy family members. We look forward to meeting you!

I really admire them for being more than willing to ask for help from other professionals in the field when they don't have an answer to my question. They aren't even slightly arrogant, and I'm confident they always have my best interest at heart. One thing I noticed about their office was how absolutely fantastic it smelled. They must clean or sanitize all the time. I will definitely refer my friends and family here. They were great and I think more people should know about them. They have the greatest designated area for pets to go to the bathroom here, which is extremely convenient. I never have to worry about scouting out a place for my dog to go pee and It is so well kept too. Wow is all I can say about them. I have seen some vets become callused and unemotional but you will not find that here. The veterinarian and staff are extremely friendly and treat pets as if they are a part of the family. I could really tell how much they love animals.

Animal Specialty and Emergency :
If you ever have a pet emergency and live in the Melbourne, Rockledge , Viera area, please, please, don t go there.
They are total crooks. The owner is a self serving doosh. These so called Professionals diagnosed my Paco with Arthritis, just cause I said it looked similiar to Arthritic behavior. Even after the doc did a physical exam, in which he stated
it didnt feel like arthritis. The dog has no history and no obvious signs except some stiffness, and yet they don't even bother trying blood work or exrays. Heres some pain meds, and thanks for your $120 we are charging to scrw you. Good luck!
Long story short turns out that it was probably his Flea medication causing seizures. When I talked to the owner, Head d head, about a refund, he didnt think it was warranted since I could have requested exrays and blood work. Uh, d head, I am not the Professional doctor, you guys are! Your suppose to make recommendations...
If I could make informed recommendations on a treatment for my dog, then that would mean I was the one with the Degree, and then we wouldn't have been having this conversation cause I wouldn't need to go to the vet....... He felt it was no excuse.
Think I am gonna spend sometime banding them out front of their street.... Man I am mad.
