I went to this store to buy a knee brace but found that for it to fit properly I needed to know my knee circumference. The sales person I dealt with either didn't have a tape measure or didn't want to be bothered getting one out and letting me measure my knee, even though the box for the brace I wanted to buy listed the sizes this product comes in and the knee circumference recommended for each. The saleswoman wouldn't let me try on the brace unless I first paid for it, and told me that the store did not allow returns or exchanges on such products. Since I didn't want to spend $79 and then hope that the brace fit, I wrote down its name and model number. When I Googled it I saw that the manufacturer's recommended retail price was not $79 but $69. I also found that Walmart sold the exact same brace for $59, and after about five minutes of searching I purchased this from an online vendor (who allows returns) for $39. I'm left wondering if this place stays in business because they're across the street from White Plains Hospital, or by overcharging Medicare, Medicaid, or insurance companies on covered products. The one positive thing I can say is that the attendant seemed to know at least something about knee braces, although little or no information was volunteered to me.
