I dropped my prescription off at 3pm and was told to pick it up after 5pm. I arrived at 5pm and waited 40 mins for my prescription. Another customer picked up her prescription and the older female pharmacist placed another prescription on the counter behind it. Knowing that a pharmacist should never just leave a prescription lying on the counter, I assumed that it must have been mine. I picked up the bag, saw that it was not mine and set it down. At this point the elderly female pharmacist started to scold me! In an extremely 'parent to child' tone of voice, she proceeded to tell me that the prescription wasn't mine and that I "...would get them shut down!" I apologized but told her that her tone was disrespectful. She then retorted that she wasn't being disrespectful and that she would have to 'put my prescriptions somewhere else because of people like you." Then the other pharmacy staff jumped to her aid! They too told me that "I" was going to get them shut down! I pointed out that if they were being shut down that it clearly was because they placed the prescription on the counter and left it unattended. If they didn't want someone touching the prescription then they shouldn't have left it for anyone to pick up and look at! She was rude, disrespectful, arrogant, and fully out of touch with what customer service is and/or means. It was not MY fault that SHE put the prescription where she did. I had no reason NOT to believe that the prescription wasn't mine!
While waiting for almost an hour before this incident I observed the pharmacy staff complaining about all of the prescriptions that they had to fill and that they would never get out of work. Funny, in this economy, you would think that people would be overjoyed for a plethora of work! This pharmacy staff is clueless with what competitive advantage is, and will likely fall to competitors. It is a shame because I chose to go to the small, local pharmacy to keep my money local. I will never step foot in that pharmacy again. I have already transferred my refill.
I feel like my appointment was pointless. None of my questions were answered, nothing was accomplished, and I felt worse when I left. I felt very rushed. They barely spent two minutes with me and almost completely ignored me. I would never visit them again. I was very disappointed. Their prices were very fair. The level of care you get for the price is outstanding. Their staff was not friendly at all, I didn't feel welcome there.
