Dear Humans at Animal Care!

Thank you for taking such good care of me! I used to be very scared
to go to the doctor, but you made me so comfotable, that I almost enjoy my visit. The animals in the waiting room look more relaxed than at the usual doctor's office.
Big thumbs up and thank you for being there, ALWAYS. You genuinely care about us. It shows.
Our humans also feel safe, because you are always there to take care of us, even late at night! I know because my human once had to rush me to the hospital...

They answered most of my questions but I could have used more information. Their staff was friendly enough, but the probem wasn't the staff, it was the doctor, Dr B. I felt that she was just throwing tests at my cat and the estimate was enormous. I am willing to spend what it takes but I need confidence that the doctor isn't just trying to rip me off; I didn't trust her and I felt that she was condescending. She made me uncomfortable. I brought my cat to PETS emergency clinic which was less expensive (!) when specific tests were compared (as was the emergency fee on a Sunday afternoon). Then I went to El Sobrante Pet Hospital the next day where we were able to come to agreement about a treatment plan that I was happy with and my cat did very well with. The problem resolved within 2 days. So the $500 ultrasound that kept being brought up was unnecessary at that stage of my cat's illness and it kept being pushed in my face at Animal Care Clinic. (I didn't do it obviously but it is less expenseve at PETS by the way.) If she needs it done, I will bring my cat back to El Sobrante Animal Hospital. (BTW, I talked with my neighbor about my experience and she said she also has left this hospital. The prices are exorbitant. She wasn't given an estimate and she had surgery done that ended up costing $7000. She mentioned this to her new doctor who said she should have gone to a board certified surgeon. It would have cost less.
