Convenient location for our family. This is the only vet that we've used while we've been living in Des Moines (seven years). I have not done any comparison pricing or anything like that. A few years ago, we did take our dog to the vet school hospital at ISU in Ames. That visit was less expensive but the drive was not convenient. I will stick with Metro Cat Hospital and the dog clinic that's also there.

Please consider my story before using this vet clinic. I had been a customer for ~15 years and when the time came for us to say goodbye to our 15 year old cat, we knew. They watched me cry as I held her kitty paw and say goodbye. They then bad-mouthed us behind our backs. They lied about us not vaccinating, they lied about us not being up to date on vaccines, they lied about what is required by law vs. their clinic, and worst of all, they said we were not good animal parents and judged us. Please, take a moment and read my full story and you will understand why I can not ever, ever set foot in this clinic again. We think the world of our pets and to have them judge us and say we do not, is beyond hurtful.
