Wellness Center
Our Residents may not be walking on water, but they are certainly walking in water! Dr. Mary Nole heads up our state-of-the art Wellness Center. And certainly their Wellness Center has the most beautiful pool ever! (Really) The warm, water saline in the pool is very gentle on the skin, and also provides buoyancy that, in addition to handrails in the water, allows Residents who are normally able to take only one or two steps to be able to walk across the entire length of the pool. Staff is always there to assist, and its excellent for muscles and joints. The pool is wheelchair accessible by ramp.

The activities staff offers exercise classes for all ranges of ability. At Saint Simeons, its so much more than just an activities staff doing seated workouts. They work with all interested residents in both class settings and also with personal training sessions. No one is left out because of their physical and/or cognitive abilities.

Saint Simeons is also the official Arthritis Foundation provider for both their Aquatic and land-based exercise programs.

Life Enrichment
Saint Simeons Life Enrichment Department truly knows how to have a good time. With over 400 activities each month, including live music weekly in all areas of the community, and an art expression program in the Memory Center. Life Enrichment also hosts Resident Christmas parties every year, as well as field trips to various locations, such as the Tulsa State Fair and the Tulsa Zoo. When you come to Saint Simeons, if you see someone who never stops smiling chances are that they work in Life Enrichment.

24-Hour Nurse on-site
State of Oklahoma regulations on Assisted Living communities require that a nurse be on duty only 8 hours per day, 5 days/week.

Saint Simeons employs an LPN/RN 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. This is more than any other assisted living community in Tulsa!

Memory Center
Saint Simeons is the leader in offering memory support care, programs and housing for persons with Alzheimers and other forms of dementia. Saint Simeons truly is a haven for those in the community who are no longer able to care for themselves due to cognitive, physical and in some cases, financial limitations. Alzheimers and other physical and cognitive impairments related to aging are non-discriminating and many times devastating. All persons, regardless of ethnicity, creed or socio-economic status are subject to isolation as a result of Alzheimers, other form of dementia, and/or physical impairments. Due to isolation in their own homes or living in communities that lack proper resources, many of our elders take on a devastating lifestyle of poverty accompanied by destitute living conditions and life threatening health complications.

Saint Simeons Memory Center is currently undergoing a $2.5MM expansion and renovation.

Consistent Recognition as The Leader in Assisted Living
2009 ONE award recipient as one of the top three not-for-profit organizations in the State of Oklahoma who serve seniors; voted the Best of the Best for ten straight years by readers of Oklahoma Magazine in the Nursing Home category; the Leading Age Excellence in Leadership 2010 award presented to Trustees George and Phyllis Dotson; the Leading Age Oklahoma 2010 Trustee of the Year Award presented to Trustees George and Phyllis Dotson; the Association of Fundraising Professionals Eastern Oklahoma Chapter 2010 Fundraiser of the Year Award was was presented to Foundation Director Stephen Mason; and the Morrison Management Specialists National People First Champion Award was presented to Jonathan Kincaid.

Saint Simeon's holistic approach wraps each Resident in a comforting blanket of mental, physical and spiritual care, allowing Residents to live in comfort and dignity through their remaining years. Saint Simeons focus of serving persons later in life, and through end of life, sets them apart from other communities serving seniors, especially Assisted Living communities.

The goal at Saint Simeons is to get Residents functioning at the highest level that theyre capable of by finding ways to get them to interact. The level of independence is, as you might imagine, driven by each Residents individual level of care. The staff is also trained to identify and assess changes in behavior; its a signal that something could be, and probably is, wrong. This is why at Saint Simeons, they are constantly getting to know their Residents on an individual basis, and not just completing the tasks to get them through each day.
