My mother was a resident there and I was very disappointed with care. Unfortunately, I discovered a medication error where the nurse had misspelled a medication on the the medication sheet and the medication aides had initialed that they had given the medication but the medication written was non exsistent because it was misspelled. For a period of time she was overdosed on medication because the liquid form and the pill were both given to her. When her other doctors needed labs and they were ordered by the nursing home it was a long process to have them drawn and resulted on the chart. I had to keep asking if the labs were ready so I could take them to the doctors appointment. The final and worst straw came when I visited my mom at 0930 pm on one night and she was awake and talking to when I received a call at 0649 am the next morming saying that my mom was lethargic. I drove there in about 15 minutes and found her to be unconscious and twitching her eyes and what appeared to be seizures. The nursing aid had dressed her in that state. No licensed personnel was at the bedside. I went back to the nursing station to tell the nurse who had called me to call 911 because I assessed that my mom was having a neurological emergency. The nurse who had called me at home did not come to the room at that time and she called 911. The morning shift nurse did come in then after I started shouting and listened to her chest. My mom was taken by EMS and had to be intubated at a nearby hospital. She has not recuperated to this date. Before I left the facility that morning I asked the administrator to go look at my mom while the EMS were getting her ready for transport. A week later I talked to the same administrator and the director of nursing and they said that the nursing staff had followed policy and short of having a loss in vital signs the facility does not call EMS. I am very grateful that I got a call that day because if I had not come who knows what state she might have ended in.

Having been here many times I can say that Their facility looked like the cleaning crew may have skipped a week or two. It smells bad most of the time, But At least The waiting room here is spacious. I never feel like I have to sit too close to someone or that it is overcrowded.
