Dr. Groos was the pediatrician on call when my birth son was born. I was still the biological mother and had not placed my son for adoption just yet but b/c it was being discussed as I was a young mother...he treated me as a lesser important person and would not step into my room to give me the update on this child of mine. He stuck his head in my room and said the baby was healthy with 10 fingers and toes, and then tried to leave. I started to ask questions about circumcision and he replied that this wasn't my baby and we'd leave it up to the parents. He was obviously an extremely judgemental man and I decided at that point to never use him in the future again for being such a jerk. I had children of my own 3 years later and although I've used his practice, I do NOT and will NOT ever use him as a pediatrician no matter what. His bedside manner was awful and he treated me like dirt on the bottom of his shoe. I will never forget how that man made me feel at 17 years old.
