She has been my doctor for over 9 yrs and is the best doctor that is in Austin. It is important that an updated review is posted. She has improved on the wait time if you have an appointment. I've never seen anyone who is more respected by their staff. The entire staff only had great things to say about working there, and it made me want to return all the more. I noticed their credentials displayed on the wall as soon as I walked in. It immediately made me more comfortable and confident that I was seeing someone who was very qualified. They always go out of their way to make me feel encouraged and cared for. I always feel completely comfortable and I look forward to my appointments. When I arrived for my appointment the friendly staff seemed to be waiting for me. I've been to other places where I had to wait forever after I arrived for my appointment, but not here. I was very impressed.

People who take issue with lateness should look elsewhere for a doctor. Dr. Adair regularly runs very late -- up to 2 hours in some cases.
However, because she was always willing to spend ample time with us, I was not put off by the wait.
Unfortunately, over time, it began to feel like she did more talking than listening, and couldn't really tune in to my adolescent son's needs.
She favors -- almost exclusively, it seemed to us -- older medications rather than any of the newer. The merits of that can obviously be debated both ways, but we were frustrated sometimes at her lack of interest in new meds that might be helpful.
What was most off-putting, though, was that as my son's mood continued to disintigrate, she seemed to stay more focused on his academic successes and seemed to make a lot of assumptions about his interests and who he really was. Then when he got into some trouble (vandalism), she almost seemed to dismiss him -- as if he were beyond helping.
She had recently suffered some personal losses during that time, so I was willing to give her the benefit of the doubt.
But the fact that she is an adolescent expert left me with higher expectations for her skills in "getting through" to resistant patients -- which, in my experience, is a fairly natural state for this age group.
