Dr. Nunnelly and his staff are professional, caring & friendly. I always feel heard by Dr. Nunnelly and I appreciate his thoroughness. I leave Dr. Nunnelly's office feeling confident that my questions or concerns have been addressed.

He seems nice enough but I don't feel he is very thorough. I've had two issues with him and have only seen him twice.

I went in with cramps and missed periods and stated it had been getting worse for over a year. They did an ultrasound and the tech poked, prodded, crammed and shoved the instrument in but couldn't find one of my ovaries. I expected bad news when I was asked to get dressed and meet the doctor back in his office. I was told to lose weight and come back in 3 months if my symptoms continued. You would think I had already met that minimum requirement. I turned to another doctor who did a menopause test and was told that I am in peri-menopause. More of a description than I received from Dr. Nunnelly's office.

Interestingly enough, almost 20 years ago, when I was seeing an associate of Dr. Nunnelly's, I came in for a regularly scheduled checkup and he came instead of my regular Dr. who was on vacation. I would have rescheduled had I known I was going to be examined by someone I didn't know. It was too late and I went ahead and let the exam begin. Dr. Nunnelly claimed my blood pressure was too high and he was sending me home. He prepared a note and had his front desk fax it to my boss. I was to be on 3 days strict bed rest and was told to come in to see my regular doctor on the 4th day. At that appt, I was told that he had been overzealous and the bed rest was unnecessary. Had Dr. Nunnelly had not bothered to read the chart where the staff had previously made comments recording all my blood pressure readings and on multiple occasions and had stated that my pressure readings were in the higher range of normal. It was no different the day he saw me. NORMAL. I had to deal with an angry boss and a pile of unfinished work that I then had to stay late for the next week trying to catch up in just a couple of hours of UNPAID overtime until it was finished. So, my days turned into 12 hour days until I was caught up. Obviously Dr. Nunnelly wasn't directly at fault for my small minded boss, but had he read the chart carefully, nothing would have gone wrong. I would have never gone to see him again but was surprised again with a replacement on the day of appointment. Just my bad luck.
