I have been a patient of this provider for over a year. She was referred by another physician who is familiar with my particular problems. I had some previous doctors who were or became problematic about medications which they prescribed for me. As a result, I am very proactive about doctors who I see, and about their recommendations.

From the first appointment I knew she was both compassionate and knowledgable. She has always spent sufficient time in appointments to cover everything which needs to be addressed, and she has always checked over the basic diabetes problems. My blood sugar although not quite as controlled as it should be, is much better controlled than it was when I started seeing her. I am very pleased with Dr. Shiver and I have recommended her to a couple of my friends who need endocrinologist assistance. She has also put me in touch with other doctors who are better than some of the doctors that I had been seeing.
