Dr. Overbeck was voted by his peers as a Super Doctor recognized by Texas Monthly and received a legacy award having been voted over 10 consecutive years. His interest in sports medicine led to his role as a cardiovascular consultant for the Dallas Mavericks Professional basketball team.
