Refractive laser-assisted cataract surgery, or ReLACS, is a state-of-the-art procedure that helps to reduce dependence on glasses after cataract surgery. The laser used during cataract surgery can reduce pre-existing astigmatism, and treat presbyopia—the need for reading glasses—with laser guided precision that is often combined with toric and multifocal intraocular lens implants.

Dr. Daniel Bregman is an accomplished eye surgeon, specializing in no-stitch micro-incision cataract surgery, refractive laser-assisted cataract surgery (ReLACS), and corneal refractive procedures such as LASIK. Formerly the Chief of Ophthalmology at Ireland Army Community Hospital in Fort Knox, KY, he has been a member of our practice since 1993.
