I have had two partial thyroidectomy surgeries with Dr. Robinson. The first one was due to papillary cancer, and he surgically removed the left side of the thyroid in 1999. It was encapsulated, so I didn't have to have the entire thyroid removed at that time. My body compensated with half a thyroid, so I didn't need medication at that time. I had no pain, and went to work a few days later! But he told me that I had to come to his office yearly so he could monitor the remaining half to prevent the occurrence of the cancer from growing in the remaining right side of the thyroid, which I did religiously. I also had a local endocrinologist who monitored my blood levels. In 2013, I began getting sluggish, and was put on a small amount of thyroid medication, with a gradual increase over the two years. In 2015, the ultrasound showed the possibility of papillary cancer, thyroiditis and calcifications. The biopsy would have been intensely difficult to perform, painful, and almost impossible to hit the small speck of possible cancer. So together we decided to just remove the remaining half. Fortunately, the second surgery determined that the remaining of half of the thyroid was benign! So I am cancer free; the cancer did not return. The incisions on my neck are done with such perfection, they are hardly visible; they are beautiful! Dr. Robinson is thorough, meticulous, caring, kind, and extremely conscientious of every aspect of the process from pre to post and follow-up, and is involved with choosing the best approach with the best outcome with each patient in mind. He listens considerately and respectfully, allowing the patient to be interactive in the decision making process. He takes his work and craft as a surgeon very seriously, gives of himself to the highest degree, with the highest expectations of himself and his medical work. Dr. Robinson cares above and beyond for his patients. He is awesome! He is a gentleman, a kind and conscientious caregiver, and a true professional. I HIGHLY and STRONGLY recommend him. Thank you, Dr. Robinson, for taking care of me so well! I am here today because of you! I will always remember that and will always be grateful!
