Worst psychiatrist I ever encountered. He'll be very friendly and accommodating when trying to get you to be a patient, and is rude and belittling thereafter. I finally switched doctors after he hung up on me one time on the phone. (I was his patient! I couldn't believe it.) I should further mention that he never struck me as particularly skilled or knowledgeable; just convenient in White Plains. I strongly recommend you find someone better.

From the very first moment, Dr Rosenthal was abrupt and discourteous. During the first visit he criticized me for not answering his questions succinctly and sufficiently. I left thinking I will give him one more chance - perhaps he had a bad day. Well, my sense now is that every day is a bad day for Dr Rosenthal. My second session lasted 5 minutes. When I started to resummarize my goals for our visits he cut me off and said "don't tell me how to run my practice". I was stunned. When I responded that I had no such intention but that I thought he was being paid to listen to what I had to say, he said "just because you are paying me doesn't give you the right to treat me like sh*t".
I don't consider myself difficult and have always had good relationships with other doctors and professional over the years. I have never encountered anything close to Dr Rosenthal's behavior from a licensed professional, certainly not a medical doctor.
Maybe he wasn't always this way but Dr Rosenthal is an angry and defensive old man who should not be practicing.
