Seaview Dental at Sears on Hwy 66 in Asbury Park NJ is "Excellent!!" ...The staff (Angie and the Dental Hygienists) at this office were extremely professional and nice. I took my 80 yr old mother to see Dr. Port and he is the "BEST"!! Dr. Port was very professional and has great bed-side manners. He made my mother feel very comfortable during her tooth extraction, and she also said she felt no pain. If you're looking for a great Dentist and/or dental office to go to, Dr. Port at "Seaview Dental" is the place to go. Thank you Seaveiw Dental for your Excellent Service!!! We will be back again...

make sure you plan all any emergencies around weeknds and holidays bc they don't answer respond to the phone calls. took 7 hrs to get a call back when my stitched following my gum grafting came out embedded I the "packing" that was placed over them. seems all info is on a need to know basis. id prefer to be overly informed before a procedure. turns out that I was re-stitched the following day- those stitches were supposed to hold for two weeks. Not so-4 days late they ripped thru the synthetic tissue used in the gum grafting procedure. That was late at night so I held my detatched gum in my mouth all night long and called sat morning. They had me come in however the periodontist who did my procedure was not there. The front desk nurse said she called him but didn't get him- what a shocker! The general dentist looked at my gums and agreed,"doesn't look good". But said couldn't do anything even temporarily. That I should make an appmt for Monday and see the perio. I had pointed that exact area of my gum out to the perio on the prior Monday-five days earlier when he re-stitched me. The general dentist informs me that gum grafting is a transplant-"like a heart transplant"-yes he went there?! and the body might reject it. Wow was I under -prepared. Note to all-do your research FIRST. Also had a filling done prior to the gum grafting.Last tooth on Upper left side. Again not thrilled bc after the novocaine wore off and my tongue could feel my tooth, I noticed it was shaped very differently than prior to the filling. Instead of it being its normal "square" shape it was slanted upward toward the gumline. It looks almost wedge shaped! I went BACK to ask question my finding and the dentist(not the perio ) informed he "reshaped the tooth to macth my bite". I am 43 yrs old. I had that tooth prior to reshaping for over 30 plus years. Im more concerned with cosmetics at this point than I am the mechanics of my bite. At least ASK me if id prefer the tooth to be re-shaped. Discovering it after the fact was upsetting. So im still sitting here with a detatched gum in my mouth waiting for my Monday appmt to see if the perio, needs a do-over. Needless to say the other teeth which "require" gum grafting will not be done.
