I wish they had made an effort to make the examining rooms more inviting to children but they didn't. My child was even more nervous going into a dimly lit, plain examining room. Our child was always afraid of the doctor though he has not shown this with the nurses. This doctor does not get down on the same level as children to speak with them and make them feel comfortable. He never once spoke to our child directly and barely smiled. THIS is NOT the main problem... my child was diagnosed with cancer and we were told he may have had it for a few months by taking him to the ER. This doctor failed to recognize that my son was CONTINUOUSLY sick and losing weight for quite some time. He is two and a half and had not received any blood tests for at least a YEAR especially the prior two months during the time our son had clear signs of anemia. What seemed obvious to us as parents, should have been obvious to a man that calls himself a pediatrician. Yes, we as parents made the mistake of not finding a new doctor earlier on.
