Doctor Gaultney has been my dentist since I was a teenager, and I've always been extremely happy with her. She's friendly, courteous, and attentive to her patients as individuals. When she has to correct your dental hygiene habits, she's always firm but never mean. Her office is a pleasant environment, and I would recommend her to anyone.

I've been to her office twice now, and am very impressed with her and with her assistants. Whether you need routine cleaning and xrays, or other procedures handled, she's quick but careful, clear in explaining what needs to be done and why, suggests proper and appropriate daily care, does not preach or lecture to you (i.e., I'm a smoker, and it was simply noted in my file -- fair enough, when one's dealing with mouth health, etc.), and does not perform work that she's uncomfortable with. For example, a young boy needed extensive work which, given that she can't totally put someone under, meant that he would have been awake, scared, etc., possibly putting him off of dentists forever. So she recommended him to a surgeon in the area, and he's still a happy and great patient with her. In other words, she won't try to simply turn a buck, but carefully considers the long-term health and wellness of her patients. Love her!

The facility is super-clean, well-managed, comfortable, and quiet -- even the bathroom is spotless. The employees all seem very happy and unstressed, which shows that she knows how to treat her staff, too. The location is also convenient, and parking is easy; it's close to many places in downtown Carbondale, to SIUC (easy walking distance), the bus lines, etc.
