My three and a half years of orthodontia at Bay Area Specialty have been a nightmare. With a laundry list of issues ranging from blatently lying to me about treatment, prior to treatment we agreed to have braces removed for my wedding, and then put back on at no additional cost, when the time came they decided to charge me the full $5000 again for braces! Treatment delays were a commonality seeing as the Dr. was only in the office two times per month, not to mention how rude the Ortho is (she has made snide comments and blatantly rude comments regarding the quality of her own work in my mouth "if it breaks leave it!" while they were trying to fix a bracket in my mouth). And to boot, i thought the nightmare was over. Two weeks ago I had my braces removed and the retainer I was given did not fit right, and this evening it broke. I am not expert on retainers, but I don know that they are supposed to hold their shape and wires are not supposed to come off. Worst Orthodontic office Ever! Avoid it at all costs!
