I bought a "boiled pashmina shawl" from Saz a year ago for $250. She had to mail it to me at my further expense as she claimed the one she had available at the time was "a sample" and she needed it to "show" at her other venues even though she claimed that no two are alike. She wrote down the exact item number for me to track and yet when the time came she mailed me a different color combo in it's place. My heart sank upon receiving it as not only am I non-confrontational by spirit but also it was an expensive investment for me to make at the time and one that I had really expected to cherish and wear for years to come. I swallowed hard and lived with it but never wore the shawl as it was unappealing and an unflattering color to my skin tone.
I had ordered an olive green and blue shawl and she sent me an olive brown and blue that looked more like black. A year later she was back in town and my sister happened by her venue and when Saz asked her if I was using it she replied no and told her of my disappointment. Saz said "no problem, have her bring it in and she can exchange it". She indicated when she would be there and when we arrived, she wasn't there. So I selected a light blue combo that the price tag indicated was $234 even though it was the same cashmere quality and size of the one I had paid $250 for a year prior. I was willing to take the small loss. We set it aside with a note along with my drycleaned exchange. However, when my sister went back to pick it up for me, Saz had removed the price tag and proceeded to insist that it was not available as she needed it as a "sample to show at her other appointments that week" but that she would mail it to me.
I told my sister that I felt I was getting another set up for a substitute and really wanted to make the clean exchange and be done with it. They asked me to come in to resolve it in person. I left another commitment to go in and she wasn't there again. I waited around and when she came out, she refused to make the exchange, going back on her word, even though she had two of the same color in her hand. When I confronted that fact she quickly said one was "promised" and the other was a "sample" and she could only give me either another brown one or an inferior quality non cashmere shawl in it's place. Now she could not even mail it to me later.
I find this shockingly unprofessional behavior and I have never been treated so unfairly and poorly regarding a purchase before. Buyer beware.
