I. Used to be a claims processor and came accros with an accupuncture claim from her practice, I saved her number and finally decided to call her (knowing that my insurance would not cover accupuncture) made an appointment. She took my medical history and proceeded to treat me. At the time I was suffering with stiff neck, headaches, pain on my hands, wrists, elbows, upper, middle and lower back. I went to her because pills were not doing the job and I refused to continue taking pills that only were making me sick. I received the treatment twice a wk for 3 months and quit because I felt better and became to expensive for me too, in those days she charged $50 per session. I went back to her in 2008 for restless leg and sciatic pain and again she targeted the exact nerves that day and night were giving me pain and keeping me awake at night. I used to have painful periodes too and. I commented to her and she targeted that too and sure enough I never had to deal with that ( at the time) anymore, she turned that sensor off completely. She is a very nice, sweet, easy going, flexible, understanding and knowledgeable person. Her treatments can help give releave for the longest time. She does electric as well as manual accupuncture it all depends to what your body reacts better. She does cupping, hot stones therapy and everything is done in a relax and quiet environment that she has design each therapy room to be. She would be my 1st choice for treatment always if she would take any insurance but sadly for me everything woukd have to be out of pocket with no hope of reimbursement but anyway her treatments are worth it! I've tried another more affordable acupuncturist and I had not have the same results so, I think that even if an insurance doesn't cover it, is a good investment because it can take away pain for a long, long time. Instead of going through epidural injections and higher copayments and deductibles for surgery centers, Drs and procedures is better to go to Janis Wong Perez to help you.
