Dr Freccia grew up in North Carolina where he attended college at Duke University. Without relinquishing his Blue Devil allegiance, he graduated from medical school at the University of North Carolina. He came to the Midwest for his internship and residency in general pediatrics at the University of Michigan (Go Blue!). He moved to Chicago where he completed his fellowship training in adult and pediatric allergy/immunology at Rush University Medical Center.
