With severe back spasms, a friend referred me to Dr. Chip Studley at Active Life Chiropractic. I called on Wednesday afternoon and told I could come in Friday between 10 a.m. and noon. I picked 10 a.m. and took a half day off work. When I showed up a few minutes before 10, there was a receptionist present (not the one who scheduled my appointment) and the office looked like a ghost town. Receptionist said the woman who set my appointment must have "forgotten to write it down" (even though I spelled my last name for her and obtained directions to the office. She did offer to give me an appointment later in the day, but I had already lost a half days' pay and was not comfortable trusting my painful back to someone unable to complete the simple task of setting an appointment.
